We Run everything
Under the consul are the senate they came with the problems of Rome. Like new laws, finical problems effecting Rome. There were about 600 men in the senate. It was mostly made out the leading citizens or the patricians. They also take care of the money so they can keep the consuls from getting al the power. The people that are the richest make the decisions in the senate there are not that many plebeians if they make in the senate they can't stay in the same room as the patricians.

the assemblies of the roman government voted the people that the senate picked to be on the senate. They made laws official made by the senates. This part of the government is mostly made out plebeians. They didn't really have a lot of rights as the patricians in the assemblies. The tribunes of the government acted as a president they had the power to veto magistrates. They could also call attention to the senate and lay down offers too. The tribune only had power in Rome. All the different levels of power in each part of the government checked and balanced each other.
